Ruku and Naked Raku guru, Russell Mott, gets up most mornings about three AM, because he enjoys throwing pottery and ceramics in the middle of the night. He has been doing this as long as he has been working in the mud here in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The majority of his pottery and ceramics revolves around raku and naked raku, and there is no aspect of the process which he does not enjoy. He will admit, however, that his favorite chapter is post fire torching: which is like painting with fire.
